Mazda2 is as switched on as it is stylish. That's why its inner intelligence shines through.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is a smarter, safer way to use your phone in the car. It allows you to mirror your phone and display them directly on your car’s built-in display. You can get directions, make calls, send and receive messages and listen to music, all in a way that allows you to stay focused on the road. Just connect your phone and go. Works with Apple IOS 12 and Android 5.0. Third-party interface providers are solely responsible for their product functionality, and third-party terms and privacy statements apply.
With a design inspired by the predatory stance of a wild animal, Mazda2 is the small, stylish and exciting car that’s ready for action at every turn.
Dial through menus and functions with the multi-function commander, designed for minimum distraction.
Access your compatible smartphone’s contacts, music, and online feeds through Mazda Connect™, Mazda’s advanced touch screen infotainment system.
Skyactiv technology is a comprehensive engineering program that has shaped the new generation of Mazda vehicles. Skyactiv represents significant gains in fuel efficiency and emissions reduction while keeping the Zoom-Zoom performance that’s in our DNA. A number of years later, we presented to the world a suite of technologies that have come to revolutionize the driving experience forever.
Mazda’s Proactive Safety philosophy is firmly grounded in a belief in the driver’s abilities, aiming to support safer driving while maintaining all the fun of the open road. First is an optimum driver environment with good visibility, well-positioned controls, easy-to-read instruments and minimal distractions, enhanced by Mazda’s further evolved recognition support such as parking sensors and back-up monitor. And finally there is passive safety to help protect occupants and minimize injuries if an accident should occur.
DSC helps keep traction in all conditions to avoid skidding or loss of grip, while TCS regulates engine torque to minimize wheel-spin on challenging or uneven surfaces.
BSM uses 24GHz quasi-milliwave radar sensors to detect vehicles in the blind spots behind and to the side: using a turn signal while BSM detects a vehicle triggers visual and audio warnings. RCTA uses the same sensors to alert the driver when it detects vehicles approaching from either side when reversing.
The back-up monitor system features a wide-angle camera to give you a clear and comprehensive view around the rear of the Mazda2 when reversing, further enhancing safety. Obstacles in the blind spots are displayed in the instrument panel's seven-inch centre display.
The body provides excellent collision safety performance. Extensive use of ultra-high-tensile steel gives strength with low weight, while the framework absorbs and channels energy away from the cabin.
Front airbags are fitted as standard equipment to provide ample protection in a frontal collision. Optional side and curtain airbags mitigate the effects of side impacts within the relatively short occupant-to-door distances in a compact car, providing another layer of protection in depth against physical shock and injury in a collision.
